interactive videoinstallation for public places,
using videotracking, openGL objects and images from webcams
may 10th – 15th 2004; 9 p.m. – 2 a.m.
Pavillon am Bohlweg,Braunschweig
People moving on a public place are beeing tracked by a camera. Their position is transformed into 3d OpenGL objects as colored balls on a grid. The positions of all of them are used to control the rotation of the grid in the OpenGL scene. This rotation is then used to move and scale live images from about 100 webcams from all over the world.
